Cleaning Services

Tarmac / Hard surfaces

On hard surfaces I use a high pressure jet wash (petrol driven pressure washer). Others profess to use various 'abrasive cleaning agents or solutions' that are environmentally friendly. I use water. Can you get a more environmentally friendly product?  During the operation I remove all moss, mould,  grime and debris.

  • Court is scraped and/or brushed to remove surface moss.
  • Court is jet washed using an industrial strength pressure washer:
  • First pass uses a rotary scrubbing action to dig out moss, tarmac is NOT damaged.
  • Second pass sweeps the dead moss and debris off the court. Holes and cracks in the tarmac are now repaired.
  • Tennis net - pressure washed and rehung.
  • Posts inspected and serviced.
  • Fencing around the court cleaned and inspected.
  • Weeds around the outside of the court can be sprayed if desired by client.
  • All areas will be left clean, tidy and ready for you to play.

Artificial Grass Courts

Artificial / synthetic grass or AstroTurf courts are cleaned in a different way.  Cleaning is most effective on dry, warm and SUNNY days, but although it can be done at anytime of the year rain will stop play.

  • An industrial rotary brush is used to brush off the loose moss and garden debris. This is now removed from the court. Further passes with the brush loosen and remove growing moss.
  • Stubborn areas of moss are addressed by hand with a wire brush.
  • The court is now sprayed with a sodium based solution to kill any remaining moss and algae and to inhibit regrowth establishing.
  • Fresh specialist court sand is now spread onto the court.
  • Tennis net and posts are cleaned.
  • All areas are left clean tidy.

Your court is now rejuvenated, safe and ready for you to play on.

Weed Control

Gravel drives and paths are prone to weed invasions. As a certified (PA1/PA6) operative, I can safely and expertly apply the correct herbicide solutions to tackle your weed problems.

Artificial Pitches / MUGA

Football & Hockey pitches will be cleaned with an industrial rotary brush to brush off the loose moss debris. This may be preceded by a leaf-blower/vacuum if required. Further passes with the power brush loosen and remove growing moss.

Stubborn areas of moss are addressed by hand with a wire brush.

Fresh sand is now added back to the pitch and spread evenly by the brush. The amount of sand depends on choice: A lot of sand will produce a fast playing surface. Less sand gives a slower playing pitch. Fencing around the pitch can be repaired. Weeds around the outside of the pitch can sprayed. All areas will be left clean, tidy and ready to play

Drives and Paths - Monoblock/concrete

  • Scrape and brush all the loose moss and debris and remove.
  • Using an industrial sized pressure washer scrub the surface with a rotary brush action. Sweep the areas with the high pressure jet.
  • The surface will be CLEAN but unfortunately any oil stains are there to stay.
  • Spray for weeds around the periphery as required.
